Circular Maritime Technologies International

CMT International is making ship dismantling circular, safe, and competitive. Over 70% of the world’s ocean-going fleet ends up on Southeast Asian beaches for dismantling, where it harms both people and the environment. The resulting products are low quality, while high-quality steel scrap is in growing demand. CMT addresses this by using technology to create an automated system for fast, complete, and safe ship dismantling.

Future Proof Shipping

Future Proof Shipping makes zero-emission ship owning viable and sustainable. Enviu launched Future Proof Shipping to prove that it’s possible to operate ships with zero emissions. We started by analyzing the root causes of the industry’s challenges, collaborating with institutions like the University of Oxford. By diving deep into the value chain and fostering new conversations, we paved the way for innovative collaborations. Today, Future Proof Shipping is a thriving example of sustainable maritime entrepreneurship.

Three Wheels United

Three Wheels United empowers rickshaw drivers in India to transition to electric vehicles by offering affordable financing, low down payments, and flexible repayment plans. Enviu supports this mission by helping scale Three Wheels United’s impact, using technology and financial tools to create sustainable solutions that reduce pollution and increase income for drivers.

SWIM – Hydrogen Electric Water Taxi

SWIM (Enviu, Zepp.Solutions, and Flying Fish) joined forces to create the world’s first hydrogen-electric water taxi: the MSTX 22. The Port of Rotterdam faced a stalemate—a chicken-and-egg challenge around hydrogen supply and demand. Enviu Mobility took action to break the deadlock. Together with Watertaxi Rotterdam, the SWIM consortium built, financed, and launched the MSTX 22 to jumpstart a sustainable fuel economy in the port.

Portago

In Portago, Enviu Mobility worked with entrepreneur Dimitri Hettinga to use urban waterways as a sustainable and efficient logistics system. With boats specifically designed to supply retailers in city centers, Portago aimed to take traffic from the congested roads to the open waters. Enviu stopped participating in 2022 after initial testing revealed significant challenges with the business model.
