Zero Waste Living Lab Becomes Enviu Zero Waste

March 19, 2025

For 20 years, Enviu has been driving meaningful impact, growing along the way with expansions into new regions and domains. We’ve since evolved and so has our vision. As we continue to grow, it’s time for a fresh identity—one that reflects both Enviu and all its domains.

That is why Zero Waste Living Lab will now officially be Enviu Zero Waste.

Enviu Zero Waste – The Problem We are Tackling

Indonesia is the second biggest leakage point for plastic flowing into the oceans. This is a result of the fact that single-use plastics have become the backbone of convenience, especially in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. This growing tide of environmental pollution, particularly along vulnerable coastal regions, has devastating consequences. Marine life suffers and whole ecosystems are disrupted. Affordable, sustainable options are limited, making it challenging to break free from plastic dependency. Without accessible choices, consumers continue to rely on the packaging that creates the problem. And at the heart of the issue is a lack of scalable, circular economy solutions—innovations that prevent plastic from becoming waste in the first place. Without systems that reuse, refill, or redesign packaging, the linear take-make-waste model persists, and the plastic crisis deepens.

This is why Enviu Zero Waste develops and test zero-waste business models, focusing on reuse and refill systems! By creating and incubating circular startups, we aim to replace single-use packaging with economically viable, scalable reuse solutions. Our goal is to close the linear waste stream and make a zero-waste lifestyle accessible for everyone. All this through impact-driven entrepreneurship!

Why We Rebranded

Zero Waste Living Lab or Enviu Indonesia? Which one is it? — With our new brand structure, we are unifying all Enviu domains worldwide under a single, cohesive identity. This change enhances trust, operational efficiency, and global recognition, reinforcing our collective impact. The new name reflects not only our systemic approach to tackling waste, but also our deep commitment to creating a truly circular waste cycle. At our core, we disrupt what needs change, build what is missing, and cooperate with partners and communities to create solutions that drive real, lasting change. Together, we are shaping a future free from waste, where sustainability is the norm, not the exception.

What’s Changing (and What’s Not!)

With this new, more powerful and action-oriented identity, we’re positioned to engage a broader audience and drive even greater impact. While our name and look have evolved, it’s still the same passionate team, driven by the same mission—only now, we’re amplifying our efforts to do even more.

Looking Ahead

The future looks bright, and we are more motivated than ever to keep moving forward. Step by step, we are getting closer to realizing our ultimate goal: creating a world where zero-waste living is the norm rather than the exception. With this clearer, more unified identity, we are confident that this transformation will lead to stronger engagement with a wider audience, opening doors to new opportunities for collaboration. It lays the foundation for attracting more mission-aligned investors, forging valuable partnerships, inspiring talented individuals to join our team, and participating in an even broader global conversation about circularity and sustainability.

At the same time, we remain deeply committed to nurturing and scaling the innovative ventures we have already brought to life. Alner, one of our proud success stories born at Enviu, continues to thrive, and we are dedicated to supporting its journey as it grows and scales its refill and reuse model. Beyond Alner, we are constantly inventing, validating, and building new sustainable businesses designed to challenge the status quo and close the loop on waste. Together with our partners and communities, we are shaping solutions that are not just impactful, but scalable and built for the future.
